Objective: Dyslexia causes many problems in daily life by affecting motor skills. This study aims to compare fine motor skills, quality of life and parental stress levels in children with dyslexia and typically developing children, and to examine the relationships between these variables. Method: A total of 84 children (47 boys and 37 girls) aged 8-12 with dyslexia and typical development participated in the study. A “Demographic Information Form” was prepared to obtain demographic information about the participants. The children’s fine motor skills were assessed using the “Grooved Pegboard Test” and their quality of life was assessed using the “Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PEDsQL)”. Parental stress levels were assessed using the “Parenting Stress Index (PSI)”. Results: In the between-group comparisons, statistically significant differences were observed in fine motor skills, quality of life and parental stress scores (p <0.05). In the within-group correlation analyses, a positive correlation was found between fine motor skills and quality of life in the dyslexia group (p <0.05). Conclusion: In children with dyslexia, it was observed that as social functioning and quality of life scores increased, the completion time of the motor skill test decreased, indicating improved motor skill porformance.
